He wrote more than 70 stories including either novel-length stories or short stories. Bernard Evslin won several awards including the National Education Association Award in 1961, National Education Award nomination in 1975, best television documentary on an Educational Theme Award, Washington Irving Children's Book Choice Award, and the Westchester Library Association Award. Bernard Evslin later died in 1933, but his books expanded greatly in popularity.
