Cannibal Beach
chapter 6
Summary
In this chapter Ulysses and his men were starving, so they needed a place to dock. They found an island, where very strange things happen in the sky, such as the sun chasing the moon across the sky. Ulysses and his men docked two boats and had one boat stay in the harbor in case of danger. Ulysses ordered one of his men to climb a tall tree. When he doesn't return Ulysses sends up another man and then another. Finally Ulysses decides to climb the tree himself to see what had happened to his men. It turns out that the tree was a giants leg, and Ulysses men had been eaten. Ulysses is able to make it down the giants leg, and all of the men try to flee. But only Ulysses and one boatful of men make it out alive and off the island. The rest were eaten by the giants.

Research:
In this chapter, there wasn't a lot of detail of information about the giants besides their height, how they blend in with the trees, and crave eating human-beings. So I decided to further research this topic and learn several new facts. I have found out that giants are as tall as mountains and have an unstoppable strength. Their bodies are hairy, and their tails end in a lizard's tail. Their family included their father being Uranus, god of the sky, and their mother being Gaea, god of the Earth. Overall, the giants' race were known for their great strength and aggression.
